Wendy works with adults of all ages who are navigating significant life shifts or struggling with ADHD, depression or anxiety in their day-to-day lives. Life changes may include; parenting/caregiving challenges, empty nesting, retirement, career transitions, menopause, or the loss of a loved one.
In her practice, she uses a variety of therapeutic tools, focusing on the Humanistic and Cognitive Behavioral Model, and Psychoeducation.
Wendy brings a Master’s in Social Work from the University of North Carolina – Chapel Hill, along with counseling and coaching experience in diverse settings, including SAS's Worklife department, a suicide hotline, and Wake County hospice. Her practice is enriched by 20 years of corporate recruiting experience and a lifetime of professional and personal transitions, which inform and deepen her work with clients.
Practicing social work as a LCSW-A is a new chapter for her. With high school graduation on the horizon for her kids, she began to reflect on the next step in her journey. Driven by a profound interest in human behavior and a passion for helping others, Wendy finds her return to social work as a therapist deeply rewarding.
Wendy has just completed an ADHD certification, and looks forward to sharing the latest ADHD research-driven techniques with her clients.
