LaKeisha Thomas is a Licensed Clinical Social Worker Associate who primarily works with adults experiencing difficult life transitions, anxiety, depression, relationship issues, stress and family conflict. She has experience with providing mental health support to adolescents and adults in school, community-based, and private practice settings.
Utilizing a variety of approaches including, Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy, Psychodynamic Therapy and Person-Centered Therapy, LaKeisha collaborates with individuals to process past and present experiences with the goal of gaining insight and building skills to become better versions of themselves. LaKeisha offers a holistic approach to address the needs of the whole person emotionally, physically, spiritually, and socially. She aims to provide a welcoming, non-judgmental space for individuals to be their authentic selves and feel empowered to move towards change. She believes everyone possesses personal strengths to become resilient and build solutions.
LaKeisha earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology and Human Services from Old Dominion University and her Master’s Degree in Clinical Social Work from Virginia Commonwealth University.
